We write and distribute press releases nationwide for our authors, highlighting the newsworthy angles to pique media interest.
We are in regular contact with across-the-board media in New Zealand, setting up interviews, reviews and promotional giveaways.
Publicity Plans help us to chart our publicity voyage. After liaising with each client, we draw up a list of key media most likely to provide interview or review coverage. Distributors like to see this document too – it helps them in their sell-in to bookshops.
At Lighthouse PR we love books. Anything from children’s books to literary novels, long books, short books, big books, small books. Our experience in publishing, along with our expertise in marketing and publicity enables us to offer a niche industry focus.
It takes a long time to build up contacts, to understand how it all works and increasingly how to create a book presence online. We’ve worked in the publishing industry for decades and with a range of world-renowned authors including Jeffrey Archer, Frank McCourt, Bernard Cornwell, Paulo Coelho, Steve Williams, Amy Tan, Isabelle Allende, Barbara Taylor-Bradford, Paullina Simons, Jonathan Franzen, Michael Cunningham, Max Cryer and Donna Hay to name just a few. You can be assured that you’re working with the best.
We work on projects large and small, from international publishing houses to individual, self-published authors. The most important thing for us is that we believe in the books we promote. They must be professionally produced and have an interest in the market.
